Missionary Program

Totus Tuus missionaries are post-secondary students, recent graduates and seminarians who want to spend a summer (or several summers) sharing their love for Jesus with children. They are also keen to know God's will for their lives, and are open to the promptings of the Spirit leading them closer to union with Him.

One of the things I love so much about Totus Tuus is seeing kids' faith come alive… The kids encounter Jesus and the true Church – sometimes for the first time.

Work and live with three other missionaries as you continue to grow in friendship and faith

PROMOTE AND RUN CAMP PROGRAM

Prepare lessons, deliver talks, fully participate in games and songs, and seek ways to improve every day

Encourage young people to grow in their faith through lessons, games, songs and liturgy

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN LIVING AS A MISSIONARY

Starts in June and ends in August

Away from home most of the time

Basic needs will be provided primarily through the generosity of parishes and parishioners

Summer begins with a walking pilgrimage to Martyrs‘ Shrine in Midland

3 weeks of training and formation

5 weeks of camp assignments at different parishes every week

Opportunity to go home every weekend to be with family and rest

Summer ends with a final missionary retreat

Apart from receiving a fair wage during mission, the true value of this experience is growing in virtue and your relationship with God
